Have you ever taken a cruise on the NCL Haven?

Hi, I have a quick question I’d love to know if anyone in this group has sailed with NCL in The Haven? And if so, can you compare it to YC, or is it different—better or not as good? Thanks

Hi Nathalie, I recently took two cruises on the Prima and the Viva, but unfortunately not in The Haven. On these ships, I really love the cabins and Deck 8, which goes all around the ship and where you can always find quiet spots. But the buffet is undersized, even though you can sit in the neighboring restaurant... and there are a lot of confusing extra charges. Of course, in The Haven, you’ll have a different experience... if you can, when you get back, let us know how you felt about it.

Hello! Did you write any reviews? I just got back from a cruise on the NCL Spirit, which I loved—it’s a small ship, and we never had any issues with space. They actually opened the Italian restaurant to ease the crowd at the buffet. It was really nice and very quiet. But honestly, especially on a transatlantic cruise, I was worried it’d be too crowded, which is why I thought it was a good opportunity to try the Haven. Of course, I’ll write a review!

P.S. Is it possible to run on Deck 8, which goes all the way around?

Hi Nathalie, Deck 8, which goes all around the ship, is a highlight of the Prima and the Viva. There are spots where there’s almost no one, and others where there are lounges and outdoor terraces that are much more crowded. Running there isn’t always easy—it depends on the time...
