Hi, Air Transat is continuing its expansion into regional cities this summer. After Montreal, it’s now Quebec City’s turn. Let’s see if passengers show up!! Because if they do, Air Transat will likely make this route permanent and will surely test other regional destinations!

Hey, where did you see that it gets to minus 40 in Quebec? The coldest it gets is around -20 to -25 max, not below that. In Yellowknife, Whitehorse, or Iqaluit, sure, but not in Quebec. Otherwise, I’ve already flown with Air Transat for the Montreal-Marseille route.

Hey Mr. Nitpicker 😄 Down South, we never lie about the weather: we dramatize. When we say “-40 up there,” just understand “-25,” but told with the accent.

In the Camargue, a flat land, the mistral saves us from mosquitoes that are everywhere by the billions. But the Mistral also makes us a little crazy (it’s well known) 😄 I remember going to fetch my horses at 5 AM in freezing rain, ice, and fog, walking for miles through the marshes with just some bread and ropes to catch them. They’d bolt because they knew they’d have to work—especially the one who acted as my guide and led the others on their escapes (his name was Becaru). That’s just how Camargue horses are—they live in freedom 🐎

It’s not the same having one or forty like I used to. And then riding 10–12 hours a day, every day of the year, it becomes a real grind. If one day you get one, maintenance costs a lot. My little neighbor used to lend hers for my treks, which meant she didn’t pay anything for her. And if you have one, well, you need two so they don’t get bored (and you have to dedicate time, love, and freedom to them if possible), like a dog or a child (but a horse is often skittish 😅). The only problem is when they give you a hug, they can unscrew your head with how strong they are 😂
