Looking for a really budget-friendly guesthouse for two in Majnu Ka Tilla (Delhi)

Hi everyone, I’m planning a trip to Delhi and I’m looking for a very budget-friendly guesthouse for two people in the Majnu-ka-Tilla neighborhood. About ten years ago, I stayed in a guesthouse that matches your description: around 400 rupees per night if I remember correctly, a simple but decent room, and a large (clean) bathroom that was separate and shared with the very friendly Tibetan family who ran the place. I think the guesthouse didn’t have a visible name on the front, and I found it in a tiny alley.

I can’t say if it still exists or if the prices are the same. I get the feeling the neighborhood has changed quite a bit—prices are higher now—but you should still be able to find guesthouses like this at slightly higher rates. Majnu ka Tilla is still known for its affordable guesthouses.

I’m planning to go back in 2025 and I’m specifically looking for guesthouse recommendations in the same spirit.
