Help organizing a trip to Japan

Betsyl · 2025-10-29

Hi there, I’m looking for someone who could help me organize a trip to Japan for my niece and her son. I’ve seen that French-speaking guides are expensive, and the same goes for going through a tour operator. Airline, local transportation, hotels, etc. Thanks for your replies! Betsyl

Hello,

You’ll need to be more specific with your requests. After all, this forum isn’t a travel agency and won’t help you find flight tickets. But the people here can definitely help you plan an itinerary. What’s your budget? What kind of trip do you want to take? What pace are you looking for? Which cities do you want to visit? When during the year are you planning to go to Japan?

Anyway, that’s all for now.

Best regards

Hello,

I’m looking for someone who could help me organize a trip to Japan for my niece and her son. I’ve seen that French-speaking guides are expensive, and it’s the same when going through a tour operator.

Guides are often more expensive when going through a tour operator because they take a margin. A guide can’t organize a trip either—that’s the job of a travel agency or a travel planner.

As for guide rates, it all depends on the service you’re looking for. An English-speaking guide with group tours (several families/people who don’t know each other in the group) will be cheaper than a French-speaking guide (rare) who offers private tours. But it could be a wonderful gift, since it’s always nice to discover a place with a passionate guide (at least that’s the feedback I get from my clients).

For the rest, I agree with Arwena’s reply.

Hi, If it helps with French-speaking guides in Japan, my family and I used this site: guidefrancophoneaujapon.com for our trip in January (Tokyo, Osaka). It was really great, especially the Tokyo guide named Yassine. Have a great trip! !

I came across your request... if you ever need it, I can share my travel details. I’m leaving from 10/13 to 11/10 after all...
