Layover at Taipei Airport: what payment method for extras?

Caussat · 2025-11-05

Hi there,

We’ve got a round-trip from Paris to Tokyo with Eva Air, and we’ll have a layover in Taipei.

It’s probably a silly question, but how can we pay for small extras (drinks, etc.) in the airport shops? Cash? If so, which currency (I’ve still got a few US dollars left!)? Credit card (including Revolut)? Anything else?

Thanks in advance, Best,

Hi,

I see you’ve checked off Japan.

I’m heading to Taiwan in 2 weeks for the first time. You’ll most likely be able to pay by card everywhere, just like anywhere else. I’ll confirm that for you in mid-December. Since you’re in transit, I found a deal for transit passengers only—by filling out the required info, you can get 600 TWD (~16 €) per person to use in accredited shops.

See you soon.

Thanks! Yep, it’s confirmed 🙂 I’ll check it out. And I’d definitely love your feedback!

Thanks for the link too. Nice, that’ll cover an extra 😛
