Tips for car rental in Greece

I’m planning a trip to Greece next February, flying in and out of Athens. The itinerary isn’t set yet (but it’s my first time, so I’ll hit the *must-sees*), but one thing’s for sure—we’re renting a car.

Any rental companies you’d recommend? Local agencies are usually cheaper than the big names (Avis, Europcar, etc.), but you’ve got to know which ones are reliable...

In February, the big companies offer prices similar to local ones. Check the websites of the "big" rental companies, and you’ll see the rates are very reasonable. No need to look any further. Plus, you can pick up the car at the airport and drop it off in Athens, for example, without any major extra fees.

Okay, thanks! I saw that it’d roughly be around a hundred euros. But local rental companies are offering it for around 60-70 €... That’s why I was asking.

Can you share the local rental companies you found? Are they actual local renters or through a platform?

I had found Avance. But yeah, looking tonight, the rates are higher than what I saw a few months ago... Thanks for your advice—I’ll follow it! m.
