Looking for long-term rental for 2 in the Algarve

We’re a couple in our seventies looking to spend 3 months in the Algarve this winter. We’re after a clean, quiet, and reasonably priced place to stay. Faro, Albufeira, Lagoa, Silves, Lagos, etc. We’ve already been to the region several times, staying in hotels... It’s IMPOSSIBLE to find accommodation cheaper than a hotel! Could anyone help us out or give us some tips? Thanks
