What photo editing software do you use?

Hi,

What software are you using?

I have Magix Deluxe and I’m wondering if there are others that are easy to use where, of course, you can add your own music to the edit. If it’s free, that’s even better so I can test it out 😊

Thanks for your feedback!

What photo/video editing software do you use?

Hi there,

The video editing software that does it all—and everything’s included (color grading, masking, 3D effects, video images, text, subtitles), plus audio, of course, and exporting. Works on Mac, Windows, and Linux. Even better, it’s free for life! DaVinci Resolve—here’s the link: https://www.blackmagicdesign.com/fr/pro ... nciresolve

If you’ve got a new computer running Windows 11, there’s Clipchamp—just search for it on your computer or online. Also free.

Got any tips? Don’t hesitate to share them here!

Erjome asked for something "easy to use." I use Davinci Studio a lot for editing. I don’t think this editing software is suited to what the asker needs. Plus, you need a powerful computer and peripherals to edit a video with this software.

Hi,

Thanks for the replies.

Ease of use is definitely important for just putting together travel photo collages and adding a few videos.

If there are other software options—even paid ones—I’m interested.

Hi, What does "easy to use" mean, considering it uses Magix Deluxe!

Here’s the summary: For production, you create a folder with the trip’s name (for example). You put the selected photos in it, along with the videos (which you can shorten, remove the music, or adjust the sound levels), the music you’ve chosen, any lyrics if there are some, and sound effects.

All of that in one folder—of course, you can add more or not use everything. The advantage is that the software will always look in the same place, avoiding missing image links, for example. After that, it’s always the same process: you arrange them in order on the video track(s) (or slides). Below, you have the audio track(s).

The issue is the software’s interface and the user’s psychological relationship with it. Yes, obviously, you have to get used to it, and there are plenty of tutorials, like "how to get started with (software name)."

It’s the same with music—learning scales to play them on your instrument, right?

Have you tried it since? Otherwise, everyone’s talking about CapCut—there’s a desktop and mobile app! Apparently, it’s the easiest! But I’ve never tried it myself...

Congrats on your 5 disguised ads. Surprising to recommend a free editing tool when it includes a watermark + logo on the video and only exports in 720p! Next time, check the date of the post you're replying to!
