Has anyone used Klaus Wagen car rental agency in Portugal?

Hi everyone, I rented a car through Klaus Wagen, picking it up in downtown Porto and returning it in downtown Lisbon. After paying, I read some pretty negative reviews about them. So, can anyone reassure me with positive experiences they’ve had with them? Thanks in advance!

Klass Wagen not Klaus Wagen. It’s a Romanian agency; they’re also in Portugal.

I read a lot of reviews before deciding to rent with them. In Romania at least, they have a bad reputation among customers who didn’t take their insurance and an excellent reputation among those who did, as well as among Romanians. This logic is pretty common in Romania—I don’t know about their branches in Portugal.

Anyway, I took their insurance (which was reasonably priced, unlike the ridiculously low price offered without insurance). I got a brand-new car (35 km on the odometer) and impeccable service.

thank you all—this is in Portugal, and there are so many really negative reviews that I’m scared.... The agencies are in Porto and Lisbon.

Can anyone tell me otherwise? I’ll cancel because with all the terrible comments, it’s frightening. My vacation is really short, and if it’s going to be ruined, I don’t want that!!!!

Which agency in Porto city (return in Lisbon city) is reliable???? Thanks in advance

Back from Portugal: great experience with Klausswagen -Porto: really warm welcome in French too!. The day before, I scanned all my documents, so when I arrived, my file was ready—super quick check-in. Brand-new vehicle (I’d opted for an extra at 19.90 €), only 3,500 km. Vehicle was clean. No issues at all.

-Lisbon return: great service again. Super quick drop-off. No nasty surprises.
