Road condition from Dadès to Todra

Bergotplou · 2026-03-14

Hi there, Can anyone tell me if it's possible to travel from the Dades Gorges (Msemrir) to the Todra Gorges (Tamtatouche) on a paved road? Thanks in advance for any answers.

Hi, Yes, the road is paved. It may be impassable in case of snow.

Good evening, I’ve already driven this road, which was paved through the Dadès and Todgha Gorges, though not in its entirety. Still, I had no major issues around Tamtatouchte with a Renault 4 back in 1975. I imagine that nowadays it hasn’t deteriorated and that the pavement covers the whole route now 😏. Bring chains in winter!

There are still a few updates to make since 1975 😉

You think the roads have gotten worse since?😏 The spot where I nearly wrecked my car was on the Tafraout Igherm track... Last time I drove through it was okay!

Hi there, and thanks for the replies. If I understood correctly, by mid-April, we should be able to make the Dadès–Todra connection with a regular car. Is the road just past Msemrir better signposted than it was about fifteen years ago? Thanks in advance for any answers
