What are your itinerary suggestions for a 2-week Scotland road trip starting from Edinburgh?

Hello!! 3 days on Skye?? You’re hiking, right? Actually, that’s not a bad idea given the changeable weather.

In 2023, for 15 days, we flew into Edinburgh from Béziers and returned the same way with a rental car:

Edinburgh: the Tattoo Festival, Portobello, Rosslyn Chapel, the Old Town, the Castle, the Botanical Garden...

Then, in no particular order: the Cairngorms, Borgie, Fort Augustus, Fort George, Glenfinnan, Inverness, Loch Ness, Oban, Portree, St Andrews (for golf and souvenirs to bring back for our son), the Isle of Skye, the North and West routes, and we finished in Glasgow—its Botanical Garden and streets.
