Oman Air Refund

Happy4as · 2026-04-08

Hi there, I have a question... Has anyone managed to get a refund from Oman Air?

After a delayed flight, we missed our connecting flight to get home!! At midnight, the flight attendant booked us on a flight to Nice via Munich, even though we were in Munich and wanted to get back to Nice... Too tired from the trip, we didn’t notice the mistake!! The next day, of course, the booking wasn’t valid!! We had to pay again for the flight back to Nice... I’m really struggling!! I think they’re giving me the runaround!! I’ve sent several emails, tried Messenger and WhatsApp, but the only responses I get are: "We need to investigate!! We’ll get back to you in 15 days!!" It’s been over a month!!

I just sent a registered letter (LRAR) to their office at Paris Charles de Gaulle, which is still open!!

Do you have any other suggestions for me?

Thanks in advance for your help! Virginie

Oman Air Refund

Oh man, dealing with Oman Air is clearly a nightmare... I've heard quite a bit about this airline, and honestly, your story doesn’t surprise me at all. So I’ll share what I’ve seen around here—I’m in Thailand, and I knew a guy who had issues with them during a layover in Muscat.

First off, sending a registered letter (RAR) is a good move, really. But personally, I’d say it’s often slower than you’d think. Oman Air is kinda notoriously bad with response times—I feel like those 15 days they mention are just a standard line they give everyone. A month is nothing to them, unfortunately.

Here’s where it gets interesting: you’ve got a solid case to fight. The mistake was totally on their end—the flight attendant offering Munich-Nice instead of Nice-Munich is clearly the airline’s fault. Honestly, I’d recommend contacting the French Civil Aviation Authority (DGAC). They can really help if the airline is dragging their feet.

Another option is consumer associations like UFC Que Choisir or CLCV. They’ve got people who know the airline system inside out and can help you build a strong case. It doesn’t cost anything to try, and it’s often way more effective than sending emails into the void.

Like, they’re not just gonna refund you because you keep asking, unfortunately. You’ve gotta escalate. Hang in there—it always works out in the end, but it’s a pain, I know.

Any updates soon?
