Local agency and French-speaking guide for Annapurna Circuit in Nepal

Milaure · 2026-04-11

Hi there, I’m planning the Annapurna Circuit for March 2027 and I’m looking for a local agency with a local guide—preferably French-speaking—to arrange this trek for us. Any suggestions? Thanks

Agency and French-speaking guide for the Annapurna Circuit in Nepal

Hi Milaure, The Annapurna region is truly a magnificent place in Nepal—you’re going to love it! My husband and I have been going to Nepal every two years for years now, each time exploring a different area, so we’re starting to know it a little bit. 😊 It’s quite difficult to obtain trekking permits, so it’s best to go through a local guide and a porter for your bags, as the altitude really slows us down. We have a Nepali friend who’s a guide and is very conscientious (very safety-focused), which, unfortunately, isn’t the case with all guides. He’s part of the Sherpa ethnic group and has already summited Everest twice. You can trust him completely. Here are his details—you can reach him on WhatsApp: Dorji fu Sherpa Phone: +9779823805966 Have a great trip! Christine

Nepal Annapurna Circuit: French-Speaking Agency & Guide

Doing the Annapurna Circuit in March can be challenging—not to mention the number of tourists—but the weather makes it uncertain whether you’ll be able to cross the pass. Contrary to what was just mentioned, there’s nothing complicated about the permits (just the ACAP permit is required). However, if you go through an agency, they’ll handle everything for you.

My wife (Nepali) just started her own trekking agency last month. She’s been working as a freelance trekking guide for several years. She can help you organize everything and provide you with a French-speaking guide.

Her name is Apsara, and you can contact her on WhatsApp at: +977 9866477567.

French-speaking agency and guide for Nepal Annapurna Circuit

For well-established, generalist French-speaking agencies:

- Glacier Safari Treks - Base Camp Trek

Keep in mind that a "French-speaking" guide will be significantly more expensive than one who simply speaks English.

You’ve got plenty of time to figure things out if your trip is planned for 2027. :)
