Questions about planning the stages for the GR10 Pyrenees traverse

Sebastoudu31 · 2026-04-16

Hi there,

I’d like to get some info about the GR10 Pyrenees traverse. I need help planning the daily stages and accommodations—my wife isn’t an experienced hiker but walks a lot, so I’d like to schedule shorter walking days and thus a longer overall trip in terms of number of days.

Could anyone give me some help and advice? Best regards,

Hi there,

I’ve already done some treks in the Pyrenees, but never the GR10 stages. All I can tell you is that the full traverse usually takes about 6 weeks on average. You’ll find plenty of info about the GR traverse on this site: https://gr10.org/index.php/les-etapes-du-gr10/.
