Information about the Ait Itchir region in Tizi-Gheniff, Kabylie

Thanks for getting back to me. Here’s what I’m looking for:

I’d like to visit a village called IBOURASSEN. However, on Google Maps, it shows: - IBOURASSEN in Ait Laziz near BOUIRA, or - IBOURASSEN in Oued Ghir near BEJAIA

But the IBOURASSEN I’m looking for is actually near another village called ITIVICHEN in AIT ITCHIR, TIZI-GHENIFF (in Kabylie). If it helps, there’s apparently also a cemetery near this village called the LAMSELLA or LAMESALLA cemetery.

So, if you know the area, it’d be great if you could point me to the exact location.

Hi Laura, I did some research and found IBOURASSEN near BOUIRA. I also found Aït Itchir located northwest of Tizi Ghennif, but no trace of the cemetery or Itivithen.

I think it’s definitely the village near Tizi Ghennif.

Hi Richard, Thanks for your reply, but I didn’t quite get your last sentence: "I think it’s indeed the village near Tizi Gheniff." Which village are you talking about? As I mentioned, I’m looking for IBOURASSEN near Tizi Gheniff, not in Bouira or Béjaïa. So that doesn’t ring a bell? Thanks

Hi Laura, I searched and the only place I found near Tizi Gheniff is IBOURASEN, near Bouira, which isn’t too far from Tizi-Gheniff, so I assume that’s the village.

The other Ibourasen is near Béjaïa, much farther from Tizi-Gheniff. If you think it’s neither of them, then I really don’t know!
