Hi,
Driving in the DR—check out this French TV segment on the topic:
https://drive.google.com/file/d/1WDuF-dBTDaWtAFT3hNSinQx9Mok1vqEc/viewEven more so when it comes to two-wheelers!!!
Miches isn’t very big—you can easily get around on foot. If you leave Miches, there’s only the main road that runs through it, plus another road from Miches to El Seibo. Take the guaguas (local minibuses). It’s a real immersion in Dominican life and costs next to nothing (but make sure to pay in Dominican pesos). They run frequently from sunrise to sunset. No public transport at night. Anyway, except on weekends, everyone goes to bed early. But if it’s absolutely necessary, you can take a motoconcho (motorcycle taxi) at any time. They’re everywhere, around the clock. Always agree on the price BEFORE you sit down.
Have a great trip
