Best way to get to Paris La Défense Arena from Munich

Hi there, This question is for a friend who lives in Munich and needs to come to Paris in May 2027. Could you share any tips on the easiest way to get to Paris (flight or train) and then to La Défense Arena? I don’t know anything about it, and my friend is just as lost when it comes to planning her trip. Thanks in advance if you have any advice! :-)

Both options are possible:

By train, there are direct trains from Munich to Paris Gare de l'Est, taking about 5h44. Once at Gare de l'Est, just take the RER E to Magenta—it's an 8-minute walk. Head toward Nanterre la Folie (the terminus), and you'll be right next to La Défense Arena. By plane, you arrive at Paris CDG and then just take 2 RER lines. The RER B to Gare du Nord, then the RER E to Nanterre la Folie. Or Châtelet les Halles, then the RER A to Nanterre Préfecture.
