Thanks—it’s not easy to find the info, especially when you’re not familiar with the Buddhist lunar calendar (the 15th day of the waxing moon of the 3rd month).

hi there for those interested in the Buddhist festival at Vat Phou, I got another update on the dates—it’s looking like February 18–21, 2027 (source: Champasak tourism office)

The two dates are correct but correspond to February 2nd in the lunar calendar and February 21st in the solar calendar. I went there in 2000—it was a moving experience. Make sure to book your accommodation in Pakse or Champassak well in advance. Enjoy!
