Start date of Ramadan in Egypt in 2027

Hi there, We're planning to visit Egypt between January 25 and February 15, 2027. I looked up the Ramadan dates and found some sites saying it starts on February 8, while others say February 18... Where's the mistake? Thanks, Christian

Hi everyone, Ramadan is from February 8th to March 9th, but this is a provisional date since it's calculated based on the lunar cycle. So, we'll have to wait until the night before to observe the crescent moon—what we call the "night of doubt." Thoutmosis
