Looking for accommodation spots in Brazil

Hi, My wife and I are heading to Brazil from November 6th to December 2nd. We’ll be stopping in São Paulo, Paraty, Ilha Grande, Rio, and Salvador de Bahia. Could you recommend some nice, non-luxury places to stay in each of these spots? Also, any suggestions for places to visit would be great. Thanks in advance for your help! Marc

Hello, that’s a bit vague—Brazil and its cities are huge!

If you’re staying for about a month and don’t want to move around all the time, you could rent an Airbnb for a few days (in Rio or São Paulo, for example). It’ll cost you less than a hotel, and you won’t have to eat out every day.

Try small, well-located pousadas with character, where you can get a double room, rather than just looking for the cheapest places to stay. For two people, it’s often a better compromise in Brazil.
