Does the GRAB app make it easy to find vehicles for a group of 6 people in Vietnam?

To add to Chalembert’s reply: in the app, you’ll need to select the 7-seater category (“GrabCar 7”), which is available in big cities like Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, or Da Nang. With 6 people and luggage, the trunk really does become the weak point — in practice, booking two 4-seater GrabCars often costs just a little more, and they’re quicker to find during rush hour.

For longer trips (airport transfers with bags, day excursions, city-to-city), hotels can easily arrange a private minivan with a driver at a very reasonable price — for 6 people, it’s usually the most comfortable option, luggage included, and you can negotiate it the day before without any issues.

One last practical tip: the app accepts foreign credit cards, and you can also pay the driver in cash.
