Drancy to Musée Grévin Route
Burnsides · 2026-10-07 · Message 1 of 4
Hi, I need your advice.
I’m heading to Drancy in the Paris region this Friday, on Auguste Blanqui Street—apparently it’s next to a police station.
I’d like to get from there to the Musée Grévin, but I’m not sure how: should I take the bus, RER, tram, or metro? If a kind soul could point me in the right direction and explain what type of transport ticket I need, I’d really appreciate it. I’m new to getting around Paris—I’m from the north and not used to it.
Thanks in advance!

Hi,
You can take the RER B or metro lines 5 or 7. Depending on where you are, it's best to ask Google Maps to show you the fastest route to the Musée Grévin.
For the ticket, you buy a single Metro-Train-RER ticket for 2.50 €. You'll probably need to go to the ticket counter. Otherwise, you can download the Île-de-France Mobilités app. You can buy your tickets on it and scan your phone at the turnstile to get through.

From rue Auguste Blanqui,
Walk about 10 minutes
BUS 620 -> get off at Bobigny Pablo Picasso
Line 5 - direction Place d'Italie -> get off at République
Line 9 - direction Pont de Sèvres -> get off at Grands Boulevards
Check the neighborhood map and take the nearest exit.
Paper tickets are no longer available. You can buy a rechargeable card and load the number of tickets you need onto it.
If you choose the RER B option, which is often disrupted, be aware that the pricing differs from a standard intra-muros metro trip.
Similarly, "Bus-Tram" tickets are not priced the same as "metro-RER intra-muros" tickets.
Since the switch to digital tickets, getting around the Île-de-France region without a pass (which isn’t useful for a short stay) has become a bit of a headache.
Depending on the entrance you use at certain metro stations or train stations, there may not always be a ticket counter with a human attendant. You’ll have to use a ticket machine.
