Help with transportation in Thailand

Cshabou · 2026-10-10 · Message 1 of 5

Hi there, After a stay in Hua Hin and before another in Chiang Mai, I’d like to break up the trip from Bangkok to Chiang Mai into several stops. I’ve found bus and train routes on Maps, but I’m stuck on the connection between Ban Rai / Uthai Thani and then Nakhon Sawan (bus for the latter). Does anyone have any idea where I could find info, maybe via Route 333? I know my question isn’t super general or exciting, but if you can help, thanks!

Hi, Since Ban Rai is the district capital of the district with the same name, which is itself located in the province where Uthai Thani is the capital, it would be surprising if you couldn't find at least one songthaew or regular bus service (the kind you won’t find on transport booking sites...) to connect the two. As usual in such cases, the best place to ask will be on-site at the bus station or at your guesthouse.

Thanks, that reassures me. I’ll check it out when I get there.

It's always a good idea to ask around (and maybe even book) as soon as you arrive, even if you're a little tired.
