Is renting a car in Palawan necessary?

Hi, Is it useful to rent a car from Puerto Princesa to get to El Nido? Are there any nice stops along the way? I read that once you arrive in El Nido, most of the beaches and sights are accessed by boat, so I'm wondering if this rental is really worth it... Thanks for your help

There are plenty of jeepneys, minibuses, and other options for getting around Palawan, so renting a car isn’t worth the hassle. Among the things to see are the underground river and Port Barton, both on the west coast. Have a great trip!
