Another blog about Thailand

The title isn't very catchy, I'll admit, but isn't that often the case? Many people share their trips to this beautiful country. This was my 5th visit not long ago, and as I'm about to move there, I'm updating my latest trip, which I invite you to check out.

Hey Romain, Great idea to start a blog ๐Ÿ˜Ž I didn’t have time to look at everything because there are so many amazing photos. The photos of Koh Phangan are stunning, especially the sunsets ๐Ÿ˜ฎ Come visit me in Phangan, I’ve got a little guest-house that’s super peaceful with gorgeous landscapes. Of course, you don’t have to stay there ๐Ÿ˜Š

Thanks for the invite—I’d love to stop by your guest house! I could easily swing by before heading to the Similans, for example.

I checked out your blog too ๐Ÿ˜›—bookmarked it! It looks gorgeous, and it’s definitely making me want to visit. Showing the photos to my fiancรฉe, and I don’t think she’ll object.

PS: I just tried to pinpoint your guest house on Google Maps—where exactly is it?

Hi Romain, I’ve also bookmarked your blog ๐Ÿ™‚ Finding my GH isn’t too tricky. On Google Maps, locate the main "Highway 4" or "Phet-Kasem" road and its intersection with Highway 415 heading toward Krabi. About 200–300 meters from that intersection, you’ll spot a small lake with a road looping around it (on Google Maps): that’s Som-Det Park, which I’ve featured in photos and videos on my blog. My GH’s neighborhood is "Tham Nam Phut," and the nearest temple is "Wat Prapas Prachim Ket," also pictured on my blog. The guesthouse is the last house at the end of the soi on the left.

my latest trip that I invite you to share.

Hi Romain, you’ve brought back some really beautiful stuff!

Like Kemaรฏ mentioned, the loading time is pretty long with Thai internet speeds—could you reduce the number of posts per page? Personally, I stick to 3, which loads super fast, and anyway, people who are interested will flip through the pages without any issue.

Sorry about the loading time—I realize now that when I’m writing my posts, I don’t always think about slow connections...

Thanks to you too for the encouragement, and you’re welcome for the comment—it was genuine, and it made my day.

I’m not very active on the forum anymore, but I’ve never given up on my blog, which is slowly approaching its 20th anniversary!

Of course, the internet has evolved a lot since then, and so has the site—it’s actually changed URLs twice compared to the name still visible in this original post!

Even though it’s updated in my "signature," I wanted to drop by and share the current address, which shouldn’t change again anytime soon:

https://thailande-et-asie.com

A lot of trips have passed since then, and since I haven’t left Thailand, I’ve continued to deepen my knowledge of the country—even if I’m still missing plenty of destinations (including some classics), which I’ve been adding to the site over time.

See you soon in Southeast Asia!
