Evangelicals gather in Thailand

The world's largest evangelical body met for the first time in seven years last week, with over 500 leaders gathering in Pattaya, Thailand on October 25.
The World Evangelical Alliance (WEA) General Assembly 2008 met to refresh their vision for integral mission, according to WEA international director Dr Geoff Tunnicliffe. He said: “We need a fresh vision for and commitment to the work of the body of Christ around the world that reflects our focus on integral mission, on holistic mission, on the transformation of the Gospel. We desperately need that new, fresh vision.”
Representatives from 128 national and seven regional alliances, representing over two-thirds of the world’s nations gathered to strengthen their connections in the country that first saw the arrival of Christianity 180 years ago...
