Hi everyone!
I’d like to move to Spain, specifically to Málaga.
To do that, I’d like to know if I’ll need any official documents from France to work there, or anything like that...
I’d also love to hear from people who’ve moved to Spain for work—do Spaniards like the French? Is it hard to fit in? What are the salary ranges for a ready-to-wear salesperson? And is it easy to find housing?
Thanks! 🙂

Hi there,
If you're French, you won’t have any problem getting the NIE (at a police station). SUPER EASY!!
Check out:
http://www.juntadeandalucia.es/temas/personas/empleo.html to look for a job (it’s like France’s Pôle Emploi).
On my blog:
http://travaillerabarcelone.blogspot.com, there’s lots of info for finding a job in Catalonia. In my opinion, some of the info will be really useful in Andalusia too.
Good luck!
Sílvia

hi there!
maybe I’m seeing your message a little late....
I’ve been living in Málaga for over 4 years now, with my partner and our two kids.
if your plans are still on, just ask me whatever you’re curious about—I’m here!
I can share websites to find rentals, and also give you my take on different neighborhoods,
if you’re not familiar with them yet.
see you soon,
stephanie

Hi Etoile,
I’m looking for a job in Andalusia, Málaga would be great, something that lets me improve my language skills in the commercial field.
Do you have any contacts there? If you’re okay with it, maybe we could exchange email addresses—it’d be easier to communicate.
See you soon!
Marine.

Hi there,
I’m sorry, but I don’t know anyone personally. However, you should check out the website www.redtrabaja.es. There, you’ll find information about the public employment service of the Andalusian government, "La Junta de Andalucía" (like France’s Pôle Emploi). You’ll need to register, and they’ll definitely help you find a job.
Good luck!

Hi Stéphanie Etoile,
I’m thinking of moving to Málaga with my husband and kids. We’re French and speak Spanish since we’re coming from Uruguay, where we’ve lived for 4 years.
Could we exchange emails to chat about Málaga if you still live there, or at least share some info and thoughts?
Desde ya, muchas gracias and see you soon,
Flor

Hello,
Your message made me smile—I’d considered moving to South America (Uruguay, Argentina, Paraguay) and after studying the question for a long time (too long?), I’m now leaning toward settling in Andalusia. Málaga is the first option I’m seriously exploring!
Were you disappointed by Uruguay?
Best,
Julio

Hi everyone, we’re looking for some help for a group of French people living in Spain because our plan is to move to Spain as a family. We don’t speak Spanish yet—we’re just starting our search. Thanks so much!
