Ventoline et réglementation au Japon

Bonjour

Je prépare un voyage au Japon pour l'année prochaine et je fais de l'asthme...

Je voulais savoir la réglementation au niveau de la Ventoline (Salbutamol) au Japon, est-ce considéré comme une drogue ? Où bien je peux amener mon inhalateur avec moi ? Ou bien faut-il que j'achète un produit similaire au Japon ?

Pas de souci. Le produit est légal et régulièrement utilisé au Japon. Prenez votre inhalateur et votre produit en suffisance pour la durée de votre voyage, et pour être certain de n'avoir aucun problème, demandez à votre médecin une ordonnance mentionnant le nom générique du produit (salbutamol), le dosage, etc. si possible en anglais (x mg x time per day, par exemple), au cas où vous auriez à acheter une recharge.

La situation la plus vraisemblable est que personne ne vous demandera jamais rien à ce sujet, ni à la douane, ni ailleurs.

They are not. This goes the same for the disc dry inhalers as well. They are also used here in Japan, and safe to bring. Just remember that if you do bring your medicine from your home country, you are allowed to bring a 30 day supply, if you want to bring more you need to fill out and submit a “Yakkan Shomei”. Au niveau des recharges, ça, je ne risquerais pas d'en manquer ^^ généralement, je vois mon médecin, la semaine d'avant mes voyages pour être sur de ne pas avoir de manque ^^

The best thing is to travel with your inhaler in its original packaging, along with the prescription or a medical document indicating the treatment and the active ingredient used.

For a trip to Japan, I’d especially recommend checking the official rules before departure and not waiting until you're there to look for an equivalent. Even if similar treatments probably exist, it’s more reassuring to have your usual treatment with you, especially in case of an attack or environmental changes (pollution, allergies, fatigue, jet lag…).

Personally, I always prefer to plan a little safety margin: keep the inhaler in my carry-on luggage, have a copy of the prescription, and know the name of the active ingredient (salbutamol) in case I need to explain the treatment.
