Pour les anglophones:

Packing with of 39-61 kph, the tropical low-pressure system that is moving in the East Sea will bring medium to heavy rains to Vietnam’s central provinces, the National Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting Center said.

At 7 am today, September 7, the depression was centered at 16.4 degrees latitude north, 111.8 degrees longitude east, near the sea of Hoang Sa (Paracel) archipelago, with maximum winds of 46 kph.

After moving between west and west-northwest at 20 kph for several hours, the depression has weakened into a low pressure system, with winds of less than 39 kph.

The system will cause rough seas and winds of up to 39- 61 kph to the northern and middle areas of the East Sea. Showers and thunderstorms will affect this area.

Due to the depression, the central region between Thanh Hoa and Thua Thien-Hue provinces will have medium to heavy rains, possibly together with thunderstorms. Flashflood and landslides may occur in mountainous areas.

In the next 24 hours, the system is likely to move west and continue to weaken, the center said.
