Bus connection Igoumenitsa-Lefkada (Greece)

Hi everyone, I’m looking for the bus days and schedules between Igoumenitsa and Lefkada starting in July. Do you know if they run frequently? On the various websites, the dates only go up to June 30. Thanks

Thanks for your reply. Could you help me find a way to get from Corfu to Lefkada on July 10th, a Thursday? I can’t find anything on the websites, or it’s in Greek. I’ve booked four places for three weeks—Corfu, Lefkada, Kefalonia, and Zakynthos. I was planning to rent a car for the whole stay, but no rental company allows taking the car from one island to another. So, it’s better to rent on each island, but I can’t find a solution for the Corfu to Lefkada trip on July 10th

That's because it doesn't exist. You have to go Corfu-Igoumenitsa then Igoumenitsa-Lefkada. From June 15 to July 15 there are buses every day between Igoumenitsa and Lefkada. See here: http://www.ktel-lefkadas.gr/?module=default&pages_id=25&lang=en

For Corfu-Igoumenitsa, there are departures every hour, I think. See www.gtp.gr

Just because these islands look close doesn't mean they're easy to travel between.

Hi, I’m planning the same trip. Could you tell me how you’re organizing transfers and car rentals on Corfu, then Lefkada, then Kefalonia? I’ve been looking for info for over a month now, but it’s complicated (did you find any ferry schedules?). Thanks, C. Morizot

I'm really struggling to organize the transfers, especially to get from Igoumenitsa to Lefkada (I checked the Ktel website, but there are apparently only two buses per week, and you can't see the summer schedules). Same question for getting from Lefkada to Vasiliki? Thanks

Hi there, From Lefkada to Vassiliki: check the website ktel-lefkadas.gr. Currently, outside the tourist season, there are 3 buses a day at 5:40 AM, 11:00 AM, and 2:00 PM. More in the summer, but you’ll need to wait until after Easter to see the new schedules. From Igoumenitsa, take the bus to Athens and get off at Preveza or Aktio (Preveza’s airport after the canal). Bus schedules are on ktel-thesprotias.gr. From Preveza or Aktio (Aktio in Greek) to Lefkada: 4 buses a day on weekdays. Current schedules are still on ktel-lefkadas.gr. Good luck!
