Ascension Pico Austria depuis La Paz

Je serai du côté de La Paz vers la fin octobre et je souhaiterais réalisé l'ascension du Pico Austria qui peut se faire en une journée.

Je serai seul et après quelques premières recherches et demande, on me propose la journée à plus de 200euros... ca me parait un peu excessif pour une seule journée de randonné !

Donc je me demandais si c'était possible de réalisé cette randonné seul ou faut il être absolument accompagner ( à cause de l'altitude notamment ) ?

Et si non, auriez vous une agence à conseiller et retours d'expériences ?

200 euros est évidemment beaucoup trop 😠 C'est nettement plus que ce que proposent la plupart des agences de La Paz pour 2 jours pour le Huayna Potosi, à plus de 6000m avec matériel glaciaire 😮. De l'arnaque. Le mieux est de faire le tour des agences quand tu seras à La Paz pour comparer les prix. Et tu trouveras beaucoup moins cher.

Il est évidemment également possible de faire cette randonnée seul sans problème si tu as l'habitude et si tu es acclimaté: il faut simplement prendre un taxi juqu'à Tuni (là aussi, tu peux t'adresser à des agences). Et de là aller à la laguna Chiar k'khota (camp de base du Condoriri) puis prendre le chemin vers le col Austria et le Pic. Mais fin octobre, il y aura sans doute peu de touristes, donc il faut être habitué à randonner seul, et bien savoir reconnaître les signes du mal d'altitude et donc redescendre si on ne se sent pas bien.

Pour les agences, il y en a des tas dans les rue Sagarnaga, Illampu et alentours et tu peux donc aller y comparer les prix pour ce que tu souhaites faire. Perso, en 2010, j'étais passée par l'agence llama Trek (la responsable parlait français) pour le taxi pour Tuni (250 bolivianos allez simple, au retour, j'avais trouvé des français au camp de base qui vaient une voiture et m'ont ramenée à La Paz). Une autre agence m'avais proposé 280 bolivianos pour ce trajet. En connaissant directement un chauffeur de taxi compétent et sûr, ça aurait été sans doute encore moins cher.

Bonjour, Je prevois de faire un trek fin Septembre. Je souhaite passer par une agence pour ne pas trimballer tout le matériel et la nourriture. Nous serons 6 normalement.

J'ai vu avec l'agence ZigZag qui se trouve à La Paz. Si quelqu'un connait, n'hesitez pas à me donner votre avis sur le choix entre 3 et 4 jours. Si option 3 jours, je peux faire le lendemain la route de la mort en vtt sinon je dois la zapper.

From there we keep climbing to a second pass (Paso Austria, 5300 m.a.s.l.) before descending on the other side towards El Condoriri and El Pequeño Alpamayo base camp, at the edge of Laguna Chiarkhota (el. 4670 m.a.s.l.) Ayant encore effectué des recherches, je pense que je vais finalement improvisé sur place et pourquoi pas trouver quelqu'un qui m'accompagnera. Voyageant seul et ayant un espagnol très rudimentaire, c'est pour celà que je recherchais une agence a l'avance mais les prix sont bien trop élevés.

Pour ce qui est de réalisé la randonné seul, je ne pense pas être assez expérimenté malgré les quelques randonnées que j'ai pu déjà effectuées. Tout dépendra de mon acclimatation a l'altitude qui sera aussi une grande première a cette hauteur !

Bonjour avez vous finalement fait la randonnee du Pico Austria ? Je cherche a savoir si cette randonnee est difficle ou pas ? Y a t il un gros probleme avec l altitude? Merci

Bonjour, J'ai fait le trek en 3 jours et c'est pas très difficile. Il suffit d'être un peu acclimaté et de monter à son rythme. Le jour 2, nous étions partis vers 8h30, nous avons mangé au pied du pico Austria, avons laissé nos sacs à dos ici puis nous sommes montés en 30 min au pico Austria dont la vue d'en haut est tout simplement magnifique. Nous sommes ensuite redescendu prendre nos sacs et avons continué notre chemin jusqu'à la lagune où se trouvait le campement. Nous y sommes arrives vers 15h donc il y a de la marge.
