Hitchhiking between Montreal and Tadoussac

hi there,
it's been a long time since I've been to Quebec, and I've kinda lost my bearings...🙂
What's the best spot to hitchhike from Montreal to Quebec City and from Quebec City to Tadoussac?
If you've got the public transit route to get to those spots, I'd love to hear it!
thanks

Hey!
There seem to be fewer and fewer hitchhikers on Quebec's roads (or at least that's my impression).
There are so many websites that offer carpooling—you pay part of the driver's gas bill (I think that's how it works).
Here's a link you can check out:

I think you'll be able to find options specifically for Quebec.
Good luck (and happy travels)! !

Nothing beats Bauhaus, you have to go through a rideshare site...
In several years of living in Quebec, I've only seen about ten hitchhikers.

Okay, thanks to both of you. Before, it was still pretty common—I prefer the spirit of hitchhiking over carpooling, but I’ll probably have to resign myself to it.

Between Montreal and Quebec City, you get off at the Longueuil metro and you can hitchhike on Highway 132. It works a lot less than before, and there are plenty of carpooling options on Amigo Express.
From Quebec City to Tadoussac, it still works pretty well. You take the 800 metrobus to the end and then stick out your thumb on boulevard Ste-Anne.

thanks, I’ll check out Amigo for Montreal–Quebec City and then hitchhike to Tadoussac

These days, there are several platforms to find a rideshare easily and quickly. For example, on alloguide.com, you can see available trips, book in just a few clicks, and travel affordably all across Canada.
