ANA, JAL, EVA Air, and Cathay Pacific: Weight checks?
Hello, are there any airlines (we're not talking about low-cost here!) that actually check the weight of carry-on luggage? Most airlines set a limit of 10 kg (per bag or total—it’s never clear, especially since you can usually have a backpack plus a handbag), but EVA Air & Cathay Pacific (along with most Chinese airlines) only allow 7 kg…!!
That’s a ridiculous weight for me—my bag usually weighs around 11 kg. I mentioned ANA & JAL because the Japanese are very strict about rules, so if any airline enforces these checks, they’d be the first to do it… but maybe I’m wrong! Share your thoughts if you’ve flown with these airlines (or others, especially outside the continent) often. Thanks in advance! :)
