I spent a couple of weeks in the Shetlands (Unst, Yell, and Mainland) last October in the north of Scotland. I’m sharing my discoveries from this rarely talked-about destination.

Hi there, Great photos. A bit uneven. You’re posting too many—be even more selective. Sometimes you’re a bit heavy-handed with the sliders... I really loved Hermaness, which I didn’t see in this kind of weather, but under a stubborn blue sky... early June. Anyway, nice series—thanks.

Good evening, I think your photos are really beautiful. I’ve often hoped to visit the Orkney Islands and Shetland Islands, but those plans never materialized (cost issue). It’s true that your shots are a bit different from what I’d imagined. But thank you again for letting me see and feel the wild beauty of the Shetlands. Best regards, Danyflore.

Thanks for your feedback. You're right, I haven't quite mastered the development settings yet. I recently switched cameras, so with practice, it'll get better...

Thanks. I didn’t find prices in the Shetlands excessive at all. On the contrary, it’s very affordable and there’s something for every budget.

I also imagined the landscapes would be harsh and monotonous, but there’s a diversity you wouldn’t expect!

Thanks so much for these beautiful photos—they’ve really strengthened my urge to head there this summer.
