Trip to the Magdalen Islands in October

For our honeymoon, my fiancé and I want to spend a little getaway on the Magdalen Islands ❤️ We’ve never been but have always dreamed of going. So here are my questions—thanks to anyone who can answer!

• Is it possible to pitch a tent pretty much anywhere on the beach? Or elsewhere, for that matter? Just for one night.

• Otherwise, what are your favorite spots to eat the local specialties?

• What’s the weather like in early October?

• What kind of grocery stores are there on the island?

Hi, For camping, I think wild camping is prohibited. If you really want to camp, Gros Cap campground is nice. Otherwise, an option for '''hard accommodation''': http://www.motellarchipel.com/ Food-wise: http://www.lrdi.ca/fr. A bit pricier but really excellent: http://www.restaurantlatabledesroy.com/ In Cap aux Meules, you’ll find supermarkets (like IGA). Since you wrote your message, there are many more restaurants and shops open in October! It’s really a great time to visit, especially in the first half of the month, when the weather is still mild and the light is extraordinary.
