What to see between Porto and Lisbon in April

I’d like to spend a trip with 3 days in Porto, then drive down to Lisbon for 3 or 4 days. How many days should I plan for the route between the two, and what’s worth visiting along the way? Thanks

Braga is the country’s third-largest city and is nicknamed the Portuguese Rome for its religious heritage (and its faith).

Aveiro is more of a small town with typical canals running through it.

Both are worth seeing, but I think Braga is more interesting for a day trip! !
