Isn't the Maps.me app enough for you?

Yeah, maps.me offline, and Waze with data.
In Argentina, like anywhere else...

If you need a GPS, nowadays GPS devices—whether TomTom or Garmin—are very effective even in Argentina. I wouldn’t recommend one over another, or even another brand, for that matter.
With mine, I’ve driven through Croatia, Italy, and Morocco without any issues, with good roads and the routes I requested. I plan my routes on my PC and then export them to my GPS.
Have a great trip in Argentina!

Hi,
I used Maps.ME to navigate in Namibia over 7,000 km. It even shows unpaved roads—really a great tool and not expensive at all.
In February, we’re heading to Argentina and Chile, and I’ve already downloaded (for free) the corresponding maps on our phones!
It’s already helped me easily calculate distances between our future stops from my couch... A must-have...

Hi there,
We also used Maps.me throughout our trip in Argentina, and it worked really well!
Just remember to download the maps before hitting the road (at your hotel when you have Wi-Fi) so you don’t get stuck!
Have a great day and safe travels!

Hi there,
I installed the "Here WeGo" app on my smartphone, then you download the map of Argentina and—boom—it works offline. I just got back from Argentina and it worked perfectly.

Thanks for the info! By the way, I’m not sure how you all download maps to your phones—are they smartphones or laptops, and which site do you use, please? My husband, who’s Breton, when we’re at my place in Argentina (Córdoba Province, in the Sierras), uses his Garmin GPS, which he updates if needed, and we use Google Maps. Now I’m learning about this app "Maps.me" that I’ll try to look into because apparently, it’s good offline too.

Maps.me works offline, as long as you’ve downloaded the map beforehand. Depending on the country, it’s a city map, a region map, or even the whole country. The free version still lets you download 10 maps (I think).
Google Maps also lets you save offline routes.

Maps.me was great, and I used it for a long time in many countries. But it became paid, so I switched to "Organics Map." It's literally the same thing with extra features—it's open-source and free. Super accurate, works offline; just like Maps.me, you just need to download the maps beforehand. The maps are also lightweight, which is a big plus.

Maps.me was great and I used it for a long time in many countries. But it’s now paid
There’s a paid version, but the free version still exists, as I mentioned above.
And you get 10 free maps.
