Renting a car from a local and reliable rental company in Martinique

Hi there,

We’d like to rent a simple car in Martinique for 15 days. We’d prefer to avoid big chains like Avis Antilles and rent from a local, reliable rental company instead.

Could you share your experiences? (RD Location doesn’t have anything available anymore.)

No, no. But I know it's done here. And apparently, no problems for those who've tried this experience. Otherwise, with traditional rental companies (at the airport), you'll get better rates by booking online. If you don't mind me asking, which area will you be staying in?

We live in Sainte-Anne (Domaine de Belfond). There are several car rental companies on-site just in case.

After reading good reviews on various forums, we decided to go with Lokizy. They’re based in Le Marin but will come to the airport, and the formalities are quick. They were really attentive—they even picked us up from Pierre & Vacances and drove us to the port to get our boat.

Reliable car rental Yes... We rented our car from Luceenne de Conduit, located in Sainte-Luce, found randomly on the matinik.com site. We weren’t disappointed at all—in fact, we’re really happy! The rates are very reasonable, and the car was super well-maintained... Tony is super friendly, welcoming, and efficient. He offers a range of very comfortable Citroën C3s and even picks you up from the airport.....

Hi Cathy, A friend just let me know he’s one of those individuals who rents out their vehicle occasionally. Everything’s in order—insurance for the rental activity included. He’s a reliable guy. The car is a Peugeot 208, and he’s offering it for 20 €/day for the dates and duration you’re interested in.
