Bungalows in Koh Phangan, Koh Samui, and hotels in Bangkok

Hello and happy New Year,
We’re two friends heading to Thailand for 11 days in February. It’s not much time, so we’re looking for great tips on mid-range accommodations, sights, restaurants, bars, and beautiful beaches in Bangkok.
I’m thinking Koh Phangan, probably on the west coast, preferably a bungalow, and we’re still undecided about Koh Samui. So if you’ve got any good addresses, we’re all ears!
