I’m looking for one or more companions to share some great moments and also split taxi costs. No agencies or guided tours. From Kampala to Murchison Falls and from Masindi to Budongo Forest for the chimpanzee trek. Any travelers around from the 27th to the 29th?

I’m going to Amsterdam alone for 5 days. I’d like to know if, as a disabled person with a French CMI card, I can get free entry to museums (I’m planning to visit 4). If not, would you recommend the city card? I won’t be using public transport but will get around on foot or by taxi.

I’m also thinking of visiting Haarlem and the Frans Hals Museum. I’ll take the train.

I need to take the Explora I ship for a cruise departing from Venice (Fusina port) in mid-October.

We’re spending two days in Venice beforehand. How do we get to the ship? Is it easier to take the train back to Mestre and then a taxi? Are there taxis at Mestre station? Do we need to book in advance? Do you know of a reliable company?

Explora doesn’t offer a bus transfer and mentions a water taxi for 360 €!!!!

Hello, After over 40 years of traveling, I’ve never used a driver-guide before. Given my age, this time I’d like to avoid being squeezed into a bush taxi. I’ve never rented a 4x4 but usually go for sedans. So, for my upcoming trip to Madagascar, I decided to hire a 4x4 with a driver. I contacted about ten agencies and guides listed in the GR, LP, and travel forums. The quotes I got for 20 days range from 6000 € to 1300 €, with or without fuel included. Most ask for either a full bank transfer upfront or a mobile wallet payment (30%, etc.) from France. Personally, I’d prefer to see the vehicle and the driver before making any payment. Also, I’d rather pay at the end of my trip. Is it possible to find a provider in Tana upon arrival for around 50 or 60 € per day, including fuel, with short notice, some flexibility in my itinerary, and without being forced to accept the dictates of agencies or drivers recommended on certain forums? Hi, As the title says, I want to get to Chiang Khong after arriving at Chiang Rai Airport at 7 PM. At that time, there are no more buses. So I’ll have to take a taxi. Should I book it in advance? If so, through which service? Or are there taxis available at the airport? What’s the most cost-effective way? And what’s the approximate fare? Hi, I’m taking the Cotisse bus soon to go to Antsohihy, so the route is Tana-Majunga with a stop at Antanambaza. How long does it take to get to Antanambaza? Should I leave at 6:30 PM or 7:00 AM? Considering I’ll probably need to find a hotel while waiting for a *taxi be* to Antsohihy, I’d rather not arrive in the middle of the night. And since I’m asking—does anyone have a hotel recommendation in Antanambaza? Also, can you find a seat on a *taxi be* mid-route?

We'd like to alternate between trains, buses, and taxis (for 2 people) and would love to get an idea of the going rates for taxis, as well as any company names based on your experiences. Hi there, if you're planning to rent a car to get around in Morocco, make sure to budget for "fines" even if you drive perfectly. For example, getting caught going 5 km/h over the speed limit 500 meters before you see the sign dropping the limit to 60 km/h—while being overtaken by a packed taxi with no seatbelts. Or, say, stopping at a stop sign for 3 seconds but not long enough, even though no helmetless motorcyclists were stopping either (yes, helmets are mandatory in Morocco)... Anyway, plan a "fine" budget for your Moroccan "vacation."

The excursion to Abu Simbel is offered as an option, but for a family with 2 kids, it comes to 500 € for a lot of bus travel and very little time on site.
