Montréal, Trois-rivière, le lac Saint-Jean, Sainte-Rose, Tadoussac, ... est-il intéressant de rmonter + au nord?,

Charlevois, Québec,

puis la Gaspésie

et retour par le sud du saint Laurent à Montréal.

L'ordre des étapes est-il pertinant ?

nous sommes preneur de conseils et d'aides.

nous avons une fille de 13 ans qui adore se baigner: Où ?

nous nous interrogeons sur le stationnement du camping car à Montréal ou à Québec: ya t-il des difficultés?

est-il nécessaire de réserver le traversier plusieurs jours à l'avance ( nous souhaiterions ne pas trop planifier au jour le jour )

Nous aimerions loué une voiture a Malaga, traverser le detroit de Gibraltor vers Tanger (avec la voiture loué), et se promener au Maroc 2 semaine avant de revenir ver Madrid.

Tous les compagnies de location contactées en Espagne nous indique qu'ils ne permettent pas de traverser vers le Maroc.

Y a t-il quelqu'un qui en conait plus a ce sujet?

Hi there, We’re flying from Montreal to Lyon this August to go hiking in the French Alps. We’ve rented a car and will be staying at campgrounds. We’re planning to do day hikes and want to stay a few days in one spot, do a few hikes, then move on to our next camping spot. Could you share your favorite spots or any recommendations for places to spend a few days with great hikes?

A few details: We arrive in early August and leave in early September. We’re looking for day hikes (or shorter), moderate difficulty, with a cumulative elevation gain of no more than 1000m, and of course, beautiful scenery! We’d prefer not to drive too much—maybe it’s best not to head too far south and deal with unnecessary heat? Along the same lines, if you know of any great campgrounds where we can start our hike directly without needing the car, we’d love to hear your suggestions!

Hello, After over 40 years of traveling, I’ve never used a driver-guide before. Given my age, this time I’d like to avoid being squeezed into a bush taxi. I’ve never rented a 4x4 but usually go for sedans. So, for my upcoming trip to Madagascar, I decided to hire a 4x4 with a driver. I contacted about ten agencies and guides listed in the GR, LP, and travel forums. The quotes I got for 20 days range from 6000 € to 1300 €, with or without fuel included. Most ask for either a full bank transfer upfront or a mobile wallet payment (30%, etc.) from France. Personally, I’d prefer to see the vehicle and the driver before making any payment. Also, I’d rather pay at the end of my trip. Is it possible to find a provider in Tana upon arrival for around 50 or 60 € per day, including fuel, with short notice, some flexibility in my itinerary, and without being forced to accept the dictates of agencies or drivers recommended on certain forums? We stayed on the island of Gran Canaria during the first three months of 2024. It’s the third Canary Island we’ve visited, after Tenerife and Lanzarote.

We rented an apartment in Temisas. By staying in the same place for such a long period, the total price dropped by 50%.

We also rented a vehicle to make getting around the island easier.

Aruba is a small island in the Dutch Caribbean located off the coast of Venezuela. It’s part of the ABC islands (Aruba, Bonaire, Curaçao).

After visiting the island of Curaçao a few years earlier, we decided to explore Aruba in November 2023.

We stayed for three weeks in an Airbnb-style accommodation and rented a vehicle for the entire period to visit the various tourist attractions on the island.

Hi there! I’m currently planning a 9-day route starting from Marrakech with my husband. We land on the morning of June 13th—so soon! 😊 And we’re flying back to France on June 21st at 9 PM! We’ve rented two Royal Enfield 450s. This is our first motorcycle trip in Morocco. I got my license two years ago with the dream of taking this kind of trip, and here we are! ✌️😍

In France, we usually ride between 300 to 400 km per day on roadsters. We’re not used to off-road tracks, so we’re looking for easy ones 😅—especially for me 😅.

For Morocco, I’ve planned stages of 200 to 300 km per day. I joined my friend in Uvita a week ago, and we're heading out in a few days to explore the country.

We rented a 4x4 to make sure we can get around more easily.

I'm starting to plan an itinerary, but since I’ve never set foot in the country before, I’d love to get some advice from experienced travelers!

We’re starting from Uvita, and I was thinking of doing things in this order:

* Corcovado (I’ve read that you need to buy tickets at least a month in advance? Is it impossible to buy them online or on-site?)

* Caribbean Coast (I’m not sure which spots are worth it?)

* Tortuguero

* La Fortuna

* Tamarindo or Samara, or another nice spot in that area?

* Returning to the airport on May 19th to catch my flight, while he heads back to Uvita.

For accommodations, we have camping gear, and he’d like to do some wild camping, but I have no idea what the laws are about that here—or about the wildlife, to be honest. It kind of freaks me out

We’d also like to stay in guesthouses, youth hostels, or even regular campgrounds.

We both love meeting people, chatting with locals and other travelers alike.

We’re roughly planning the stops, but we haven’t booked anything anywhere. The idea is to leave some room for adventure and live day by day.

Hi there, I’m planning to stay in Mae Hong Son for 4 days and Pai for 3 or 4 days to explore both towns and their surroundings. I’m not renting a car or scooter—I like to travel at a relaxed pace...

I’d love to know if it’s possible to do quite a few walks on foot from both towns and if it’s easy to find a tuk-tuk for the day to go a bit further.

I’ve heard that biking is really only for brave cyclists, which definitely isn’t me!

Hi there, I’d planned to visit Cathedral Valley, Goblin Valley, the Burr Trail/Northom loop, Factory Butte, and Moonscape Overlook, as well as the Capitol Reef scenic route over three days. The scenic Highway 12 would be for the following days.

Since I rented an AWD SUV, I was planning to contact an outfitter for Cathedral Valley, but they suggested that instead of doing Cathedral Valley with them and the rest solo, they could take me to the four most relevant sites mentioned in the title. Their plan is to start at sunrise at either Temples of the Sun/Moon or Moonscape Overlook and then hit the other three afterward. What do you think? Thanks! Louis

Hi there,

I spent 3 weeks there from May 7th to 28th, 2023.

I arrived and departed from the capital, Lusaka.

I rented a 4x4 equipped for camping/overlanding with the only serious option I found at the time from Fair Car Hires. This was to avoid the long approach times from South Africa or Botswana.

4x4: $3,402 for 18 days (😕), a Toyota Hilux Double-Cab Safari Camper—fully equipped, 3.0L diesel, manual transmission, air-con, Bluetooth radio, and 1 or 2 roof-top tents.

I’d already traveled through Namibia, South Africa, Botswana, and KTP, and Harry (the owner of Lukasa in Lusaka) told me Zambia was the "real Africa." I wasn’t disappointed on that front 😉.

I explored three parks: - Lower Zambezi NP (2 nights camping nearby at Mvuu Lodge) - South Luangwa NP (2 nights at Wildlife Camp + 3 nights at Croc Valley Lodge campsite) - Kafue NP (3 nights at Kasabushi Bush Camp + 3 nights at Mapunga Bush Camp) (Check out my route on a map on my personal site).

That’s a lot of kilometers in 3 weeks—just a few well-paved roads in good condition, but mostly rough roads or tracks, which really slows down your average speed 😕.

No supply issues for fuel or food, but watch out for stock in some grocery stores (one Friday afternoon in Chipata, the fruit and vegetable shelves were empty!).

May is still a bit early in the season, so the grass is still tall in the plains.

Summer 2020, Transavia cancels at the end of June the flights they put on sale at the beginning of the same month... Not enough customers!

Too bad, it was a unique opportunity to discover Iceland without its overwhelming number of tourists.

Summer 2021, the entry conditions for the island keep changing.

Summer 2022, the Icelandair ticket is booked, the Duster 4x4 is rented, accommodations are reserved—it’s finally our turn to discover this northern gem!

In 3 weeks, we’ll have to make choices.

Our itinerary will skip the Westfjords.

We’ll start our Icelandic adventure in Snæfellsnes and finish at the Golden Circle.

In between, there’ll be roads, tracks, glaciers, volcanoes, fjords, wind, cold, rain, snow, fog, and a touch of sunshine...

A few hikes, a hot spring, and plenty of wonder, especially on the backroads where travelers often find themselves alone against the elements.

Nous pensions poursuivre vers la Nouvelle Zélande où nous avons loué un camping-car 3 semaines. Nous avons pris nos billets Papeete-Auckland avec Air New Zealand et ce vol vient d'être annulé et nous devrions recevoir un avoir.

J'ai essayé de savoir si cet avoir pouvait être remboursé même après plusieurs mois et voici leur réponse :

"Oui il existe un règlement européen, le UE 261/2004. Il concerne les retards et les annulations de vols ne vols opérés à partir d'un pays de l'UE ou exploités par un transporteur de l'UE. Votre réservation avec nous étant à partir de Papeete, ces règles ne s'appliquent pas. Bien que Tahiti soit un territoire français, il n'est pas considéré comme un pays de l'UE. Les conditions du tarif s'appliquent donc. Pour répondre à votre question, vos billets basés sur des tarifs non remboursables, resterons non remboursables."

Pensez vous que cette réglementation puisse évoluer?

Notre retour devait se faire par Singapour avec Singapore Airlines, nous risquons d'avoir le même problème.

Avez vous fait un tel voyage ? Quels stops nous conseillez vous ? Quels sont les incontournables ? Ou nous conseillez vous de camper ? Nous aimerions savoir si dans le forum, une personne pourrais me décrire plus ou mois l île de Samba. L endroit où séjour pour pas trop bouger. Nous recherchons un endroit avec une mer calme. Nous somme un couple avec un bebe de 2 ans. Comment ce déplacer sur l île. Possibilité de loue 4x4 ? Quoi faire, quoi voir. Si il y a un Village où séjourner. Tout renseignement me rendrais service pour me préparer à notre voyage. Nous comptons y allez sur le mois de novembre. Merci

J’appel à tous pour votre aide pour une mauvaise affaire d’encaissement de caution d’assurance sur une location de van qui m’arrive.

J’avais loué un Van avec Travellers autobarn en novembre 2019, et en reculant de la place de parking j’ai touché la voiture derrière. Il n’y avait aucun dégâts sur aucun des deux véhicules mais la propriétaire de la voiture a voulu faire un constat sous peine de prévenir la police.

Je l’ai donc fait en précisant qu’il n’y avait rien ect

Et là, Travellers autobarn m’encaisse mes 2000$ de caution en disant qu’il s’agit d’un accident.

La propriétaire de l’autre voiture n’a fait aucune réclamation depuis 6 mois, et Travellers me dit qu’ils rembourseront la caution que dans 7ans car c’est la loi australienne.

Ils ne veulent rien entendre.

Comment pourrais je faire pour récupérer ma caution avant ? Vous avez déjà eu des histoires similaires ? Vous connaissez un moyen de déclencher une médiation via une société qui peut m’aider ?

je prevois un grand tour du pays avec voiture de location j ai lu que certains voyageurs avaient ete raquetes par la police avec violente meme pouvez vous m eclairer a ce sujet
