Sea Temperatures Throughout the Year
Leaving aside the Arctic Ocean that borders all of the country’s northern coasts, it’s naturally at the opposite end—in the Black Sea—where the sea temperature is most pleasant. You can swim there more or less comfortably from mid-spring to late autumn. No surprise that seaside resorts have flourished there since the Soviet era. As for the country’s two other main maritime gateways, the Baltic and the Sea of Japan, it’s really only in the heart of summer that the water temperature is "bearable" for most people.
