Buses
Shared Minibuses
These are the famous dolmuş or shared taxis. They only leave when full, stop on demand, and generally operate within cities or their outskirts. Very economical and a good complement to "traditional" buses for short distances.
Two Wheels
Motorcycle
Bicycle
Hitchhiking
Hitchhiking is possible in Turkey but is often paid at the same rate as the bus. It is not recommended for women traveling alone or in the southeast of the country. Given the affordable price of public transport, it may not be the most practical option for getting around.
