Though Pattaya has little in common with the rest of the country, it remains Thailand’s top beach resort. Beyond the beaches, the city offers a range of attractions—some more successful than others (zoos, aquariums, theme parks, etc.)—and, above all, a nightlife that’s as intense as it is often seedy, largely built around sex tourism.
