Climate and Weather in Saint Lucia
Location Map of Saint Lucia
Climate Overview
Saint Lucia has a relatively mild climate, and the heat is never excessive, with daytime temperatures year-round ranging between 27 and 31°C and nighttime temperatures between 20 and 23°C. Additionally, the trade winds make the atmosphere more pleasant.
The island has two distinct seasons with brief "intermediate" periods. The dry season runs from January to May. This is the most pleasant time to visit, with fine weather and just a few occasional showers. In contrast, the wet season brings oppressive heat when the trade winds aren’t blowing and, above all, frequent afternoon rains. This period, from June to November, is the least favorable for visiting, especially since it’s also hurricane season, which can affect the island, particularly between August and October.
Best Climate Period for Saint Lucia
The period from January to late April or early May is ideal if you want to avoid too much rain, occasional mugginess, or hurricanes that may reach the island.
