Luggage and Equipment to Bring

In summer, pack light clothing plus a sweater for inland areas, evenings, and air-conditioned spaces near the coast. In winter, while "mid-season" clothes may suffice for the coast, warmer clothing is necessary for the rest of the country, especially if visiting the mountainous regions of Portugal. Don’t forget sun protection, rain gear when needed, and proper walking shoes if you plan to hike.
