Climate and Weather in the Netherlands
Location Map of Netherlands
Climate Overview
The Dutch climate is temperate oceanic, with fairly cool summers and quite pronounced winters that are not, however, freezing. The influence of the North Sea, never far away, prevents "extremes". Whatever the time of year, showers are quite common (slightly less so in spring), with nearly one in three days rainy each month.
Best Climate Period for the Netherlands
If you want to enjoy the most pleasant temperatures, June to September is the best period. Spring could also be added, as it is cooler but allows you to discover the tulip fields in bloom.
