That said, July and August are also the peak beach season, with prices rising sharply—though they remain very affordable for Western European travelers. Bulgaria is indeed among the continent’s least expensive destinations. As for the mountainous regions, nearly deserted in summer, they attract local and foreign skiers during the winter months.
