Belize is on GMT-6. This means it is 7 hours behind France in winter and 8 hours behind in summer.

Note that while Belize and its Guatemalan neighbor share the same time zone, this is not the case with the Mexican state of Quintana Roo (Cancun and the Riviera Maya), which borders Belize. Since this part of Mexico decided in 2015 to switch to GMT-5, there is now a one-hour difference between the two, meaning Belize is one hour behind.
