Population

With a population of just over 92,000, 90% are of African origin. This is supplemented by 5% mixed-race, 2.5% White (mostly descendants of English, Irish, or Portuguese), and the same percentage of Asians.

While part of the population has emigrated in recent decades to countries like the United Kingdom, Canada, or the USA, people from elsewhere have also come to enrich the archipelago's society. You’ll find many from other Caribbean islands (Dominica, Jamaica, St Vincent, etc.), as well as 4,000 to 5,000 American nationals, including retirees.
